This tea is the first in our starting line-up of fantastic rolled oolongs* grown in the mountains of Taiwan.  It has a floral fragrance and a clean after-taste; light in body but still coats the throat nicely. This is a great place to start if you are new to this genre. Literally "Four Seasons Spring" in Mandarin this cultivar is typically grown at lower elevations and was developed to deliver the flavor of a Spring tea all throughout the year.  Usually higher elevation teas are plucked twice per year; once in Spring and once in the late fall - Known as "Winter Harvest".  This tea, however, is plucked up to four times per year.  Farmer Zeng uses a machine to harvest this tea so we are able to offer it to you at a very approachable price.

*What's a "rolled" oolong?  A part of the processing, Farmers wrap the raw leaf in a cloth and roll them in a rolling machine.  Rooled oolongs come in little nuggets of tightly compressed tea.  An oolong is any tea that is oxidized between around 15% to 90%.   This tea is around 20% so it's greener on the spectrum.
